Toddler Tales (7): Little Helper

Now, Little Dude has become pretty good at imitating actions. Especially ours, obviously. So, he'll try to drive a car like his dad or comb his hair like his mom. It's fascinating how kids this age quickly pick up your attributes and habits without you ever noticing. There are things we teach them intentionally, but there's so much they will absorb like a sponge. So it goes without saying that this is the time to be on our best behaviour! The other day, my boy helped me do the laundry. It was the cutest thing in my eyes! There he was, standing on his own two feet, helping me load the washing machine. In fact, he loves helping out, so I try to give him 'tasks' to do around the house. It keeps him busy and allows me to get some 'real' work done. I know his love for chores will be short-lived, so not expecting too much!

(Toddler Tales are snippets of what I'm learning every day from my little one.)

Oh thats good. We must teach our kids to be helpful. These days kids are raised to be spoilt brats who do not know to move a muscle.

Yes, but I really doubt this phase is going to last!
