Toddler Tales (17): Holiday Time

It's finally here...the vacation we've been planning for a while now! We leave for our ten-day trip to the UK (London, primarily, but we'll be getting around) on Saturday. My biggest task, of course, has been making plans so that everything turns out perfectly for Little Dude. I am especially nervous about the seven-hour flight, but people do it all the time so I hope those fears are unfounded! Of course, I know that there is no such thing as a 'perfect holiday' where toddlers are concerned. But I do like to inform him about big changes weeks in advance, such as having guests over, or an upcoming birthday or party. So, I've been telling him that we're going to be in an 'aeroplane' soon and he's pretty excited! His dad has done the additional task of telling him where he's going, so now he can say 'London'. He already knows that he stays in 'Dubai' so it sounds really cute. I'm hoping that this excitement lasts and he likes it there!

(Toddler Tales are snippets of what I'm learning every day from my little one.)

P.S: I have scheduled quite a few posts to go up while I'm away, so keep coming back! You can also subscribe to my email newsletter here. And don't forget to share your recommendations for places to visit and any other tips!

It sounds like you have the perfect combination of planning, as well as understanding that things might not all go as planned with a toddler! That will lead to a great trip! So...have fun in the UK!!! Can't wait to hear about it...

I hope you have a great time!! Can't wait to hear about it! We went to Spain once with our toddler and infant and it turned out to be the most amazing trip! They were off their schedules but it worked out really well anyway!
