The park, a train ride, and exotic birds!

The Creek Park in Dubai is my favourite one, hands down! Yet we don't go there often because it gets so busy on the weekends. What I love about this park is that it's huge, has a beautiful view of the Dubai Creek, and has indoor entertainment too.
We visited Creek Park recently on a cloudy day, and it was as beautiful as ever. It's huge so you can walk and walk, and you wouldn't have seen the whole park. An open green space is just perfect for Little Dude so he was happy to be there!
There are many things to do here, including riding a horse carriage, a pony, or a camel. We didn't do those because Little Dude didn't want to get off the grass, but what did catch his attention was the mini train! To be honest, I love train rides too. So, we climbed in and had some beautiful views of the place. He also had fun running around in the maze, and playing hide and seek!
There's a big pier at the park to see the creek, and we stayed there for quite some time. They also have cable car rides but sadly, all the times we've been here, they were grounded because of the wind. I'm determined to try it out one day!
The park also has a large indoor play centre called Children's City, but we like the outdoors better, and the playgrounds outside were good enough for Little Dude.
We did visit the Dubai Dolphinarium, though. I've heard a lot about this place, where they have a fabulous dolphins and seals show. We didn't catch that, but tried their Exotic Bird Show. Little Dude loves birds, so he was delighted to see the parrots, macaws, and cockatoos doing antics like playing basketball and riding a bicycle. I couldn't get good pictures because it was too dark inside the auditorium, but here's one:
The Creek Park is a must visit if you are in Dubai with kids. We had a lovely time, and will be returning there soon!

Oh how brilliant Tarana, it sounds fabulous there. Not surprised little dude didn't want to get off the grass, it looks fabulous. I'd be quite happy lying on that! The bird show must have been great, they're such talented creatures. Thanks for sharing with #whatsthestory
It looks lovely there with lots of lovely open space for outdoor play. I had to do a double take on the hat which looks just like a Coombe Mill hat.
Oh you make me want to come back to Dubai so much! I will get my husband up in the loft, I promise and dig out my photos. You brought back happy memories of walking along the creek all those years ago #whatsthestory
Oh it looks lovely! Dubai is one of the places I really want to visit! One day hopefully!
That looks like a great place for a day out, lots of space and activities to keep kids amused!
The bird show was fun, but too bad the lighting wasn't too good!
Does it?! My photos actually came out smaller than expected because this new design isn't as wide.
Please do! And then maybe you can share them on my blog :)
You should, Foz!
