G is for...Goo

Playing with goo

This is a photo of Little Dude's first introduction to goo! It's also called oobleck or slime, and it's a great sensory activity. There are many ways of making goo, but this one is made with cornstarch, water, and food colour. I made it in yellow and blue, and we (and I do mean we!) had a lot of fun playing with it. I'll be sharing more about our 'goo adventure' soon on this blog.

Awww what kids love to touch! I didnt know if I have mentioned before that I dont usually let my son use paints, touch goo and make a mess inside the house other than the pen and paper. I am scared that i wont be able to clean it up and I am just renting. I feel so guilty sometimes for not letting him do messy play. #AlphabetPhoto

Ah he looks like he's getting stuck in! Really must make some goo and see what Arthur thinks of it - he's a bit nervous of paint but I reckon I just need to keep trying!

Melinda, it's really easy to clean up! I'll share this recipe next week.

It's less messier than paint, so maybe you can give it a try!

My eldest hated the stuff, my youngest got it everywhere! Lovely photo :)

Thank you! Not all kids like messy play, I think.
