O is for...Occupied

I love watching Little Dude occupied in doing an activity. I like the look of concentration on his face as he tries to figure things out. At his age (he will be three in in two months), many experiences are still new, and he has to use his mind to work out how things fit together, or how they work. When he is doing something creative, like when we were making an underwater play dough scene in this photo, he likes to talk about what he's making. Sometimes, when he's quieter, I watch him and wonder what he's thinking. It's like watching a flower bloom before your eyes - as children grow, they display new abilities, new quirks and new facets of their personality. It's just fascinating!

My children always talk whilst they are doing something, I love listening to this chain of thought out loud. Lovely photo :)
It is lovely to watch them work things out. Three is lovely as they are less inhibited by others around, and don't feel in competition with others or time. They really can be lost in the moment. Oh to recapture! #AlphabetPhoto
Lovely photo, you can really see the concentration on his face. I agree, it's fascinating to sit back and watch your children and wonder what is going on inside their little heads, and what makes them tick! #alphabetphoto
It is interesting to listen to, isn't it?!
You've described this age perfectly, Cheryl!
Thanks, Jess! Yes, they do seem to really concentrate on their little tasks.
It is fascinating to watch, they become so absorbed, but the leaps of imagination are fantastic! Love this photo, he looks so intent on what he's doing x #alphabetphoto
I love looking at my kids when they are playing! Makes you wonder what goes on inside their heads! And look at that concentration! :)
He certainly looks like he is concentrating! Love it when kids are so occupied, nothing else matters ;) #alphabetphoto.
Always a busy bee =) #alphabetphoto
Young kids are so much fun to watch and see the imagination, questions and curiosity spinning in the minds about the activity in front of them! Good pic too, Tarana :)
It would be great to hear their thoughts while they are so engrossed in something so creative, lovely photo :-)
That's exactly why I chose this photo, Sara, to capture that look of concentration!
Thanks, Kriss, that's a compliment coming from an ace photographer like you!
Thanks, that's what I hoped it would convey!
Thanks, Mike, it's a great age to be!
