Family Eats: PIK-NIK brunch at The Westin Dubai

Winter in Dubai is very unpredictable, and short-lived. So, we try to make the most of what we've got while it lasts! A picnic brunch is a great way to spend a day out with your family with some good food and fun. We visited The Westin Dubai, Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina last Saturday to try their first ever PIK-NIK brunch.

It was a lovely, sunny day, and the picnic blankets were laid out in the lawns. They have picnic tables available too.

We were given a basket filled with a selection of beautifully presented breads, cheese, butter, cold cuts, antipasti, pickles, salads, fresh fruit salad, and dressings. It also had chocolate tea cake, cookies, and jellybeans.

It was the perfect picnic food, and what's more, they were also serving burgers and hot dogs. The burgers were freshly made and juicy.

They also had a good selection of fresh juices and drinks, which were available at extra cost. A large bottle of water is provided complimentary.

The live band made the ambiance really lively, and for the kids, there were many acts by The Juggle Box and its professional jugglers. They even put up a show for us later, which the kids loved!

They had also set up an activity area for the children. Little Dude tried out a few of the games, but was happiest when we had some ice cream cones!

The older kids did have more to keep them occupied - but I wish they had more activities for kids under three.

We had a wonderful time at the PIK-NIK brunch although we missed Dad, who was out of town!

If you're looking for a fun day out with good food and entertainment, try the PIK-NIK brunch every Saturday (except from June to September) at The Westin Dubai, Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina. Call them on 04-5117136 for bookings, or visit their website for details.

A basket for two adults and two children costs AED 390, excluding beverages.

We were invited to try the PIK-NIK brunch, but all views and opinions are mine.
