Busy Hands: Making Shape Robots

Simple materials make for the best open ended crafts. My preschooler loves activities that allow him to be creative, in his own way. For this particular one, all we needed was some coloured paper and glue.

Creating Shape Robots - a craft activity for preschoolers and toddlers that brings out their creativity!

For the Shape Robots Activity, I cut some coloured paper in shapes which could be used to make 2D robots. Quite simply, I cut out shapes for the body, arms, legs, head, eyes, and a mouth.

Making robots on paper with simple shapes.

Little Dude chose the pieces to his liking, and had a lot of fun creating these robots on paper!

'Shape Robots' made with simple shapes cut out from coloured paper - great activity for preschoolers!

This activity can be done by toddlers, or older kids who could create more complex robots and cut the shapes themselves.

Busy Hands is a series about activities and craft
you can do with toddlers and young children.
