Adventures in Adventureland!

Isn't it wonderful when you come upon something that was right under your nose but you didn't explore? We had the same thoughts when we discovered Adventureland in Sahara Center, Sharjah. We stay not too far from Sharjah so getting there isn't a hassle, and when you have a kid, you're always on the lookout for fun places to visit. Once we found out about it, we've been regulars to the exciting place that it is. So I thought I'd share a little of what you'd be missing if you haven't visited Adventureland!

Adventureland is designed with a jungle theme. You'll see it soon as you enter. In fact, entering it is quite a surprise, because you don't expect it to be as huge as it is. So big, in fact, that this indoor adventure park houses three roller coasters!

It was no roller coaster ride for us, though, as my five-year old didn't want any of it. His favourite ride is the Jungle Express. It's a cute ride for young kids in safari cars.

Another favourite is the soft play area, which is quite large, over several levels. There's a lot to do in there, include jumping on trampoline, playing in the ball pit, or coming down the slide. Kids could spend several hours in here.

The whole family can find something to do at Adventureland, because there are rides for older kids and adults too. Apart from the three roller coasters of different speeds, there's a go-karting track as well.

For the younger ones, there's a smaller soft play area on the second level of the mall. And there are some rides for them too, including bumper cars and a carousel.

They also have an arts and crafts area, and mascots make their appearances on weekends.

In terms of price, you would expect to spend the same as at any such entertainment center in Dubai. Apart from the rides, there are arcade games too. You buy a card, which you can top up as this needed.

I do wish they would improve the lighting, though, especially in the soft play area and the kids' rides.

They also have an in-house cafe which serves snacks and food.

For more details and offers, visit the Adventureland website.

We were offered a complimentary pass to Adventureland for this review, but all views and opinions are my own.
