The Best of 2016 on Sand In My Toes

2016 was a busy year for me, personally. What with a baby on the way, new school for Little Dude, and a house move, I couldn't write as much as I would have liked to. And then, of course, Baby No. 2 arrived (shall we call him Little Guy?). 2017 is a new beginning, however, and I hope to do more of what I'm so passionate about - writing. So, here's to more posts from me!

Before we move on, here's a look at what you liked best on my blog in 2016. Here are the top posts in parenting and crafts:

We all have busy lives, probably raising a brood of our own, but if you know a mom who has just given birth, spare her a thought. It doesn't end with just congratulating her or sending balloons.

If you are nearing your due date, you're probably more than ready to have the baby! But there is also a lingering anxiety, fear even, that the thought of giving birth brings about. Most moms feel anxious about labour  and birth, even if it isn't their first time.

Having a second child is a big decision that only the couple themselves can truly evaluate. After all, how many of your family, friends, and relatives asking you about a second child would be there to actually lend a helping hand?

It all depends on how you look at it. This can be great age to build a deeper understanding and connection with your child as they begin to understand emotions and relationships.

Despite all my reservations, I'm happy we're raising you here. You are friends with kids from different cultural backgrounds. To you, they are just friends, and you're already more exposed to more traditions than many adults are.
